Meet Anjali: Exploring the World as a Migrant Worker, a Local, and a Tourist

She will is taking us on a special three-month journey that explores life from three entirely different perspectives.
💻 The IT Specialist in a Global Hub
Anjali was born and raised in India, but today she is working as an IT security specialist at a bank in Qatar. Living in Qatar where nearly 90% of the population consists of expats and migrant workers, Anjali has a fascinating front-row seat to a truly hyper-global community. In her first card, she’ll give us an insider’s look at what it’s like to build a life, navigate a unique cultural melting pot, and find home as a migrant worker.
🏡 The Local Returning Home
For her second month, Anjali is packing her bags for her highly anticipated annual trip back home to India. This is Anjali in her element. We’ll get to experience the warmth, the familiar flavors, and the bustling rhythm of her hometown through the eyes of a local. It’s a beautiful look at what it means to reconnect with her roots and step back into the comfort of where her story began.
🏔️ The Tourist in the Mountains
To wrap up her three-month feature, Anjali is shifting roles once again – this time, stepping into the shoes of a wide-eyed tourist. She is heading on a dream holiday with her family to the mystical, mountainous kingdom of Bhutan. Trading high-tech bank servers and familiar hometown streets for serene Himalayan landscapes, she’ll be exploring Bhutan’s rich traditions and famous scenery.
