We’re delighted to introduce Rana, one of our wonderful Writer Partners at Around the World in 80 Cards.
Rana is a proud Saudi native whose life is full of energy, warmth, and connection. As a devoted mother of three children – ages 16, 11, and 9 – Rana’s days are filled with helping with homework, guiding her kids through school projects, and cheering them on in their daily adventures.
In her spare time, Rana steps into the role of tour leader, sharing the rich history and vibrant traditions of Saudi Arabia with curious travelers. She thrives on showing people the beauty of her homeland, whether it’s through bustling city streets, desert landscapes, or hidden cultural gems. And when she’s not leading tours, Rana loves opening her home to guests, offering warm hospitality and heartfelt conversations over shared meals.
Her postcards capture this same spirit of welcome and wonder. Each one is a window into her world – a glimpse of family life, a story from her travels, or a reflection on the joy of hosting. “There’s something special about sharing a piece of yourself through handwriting,” she says. “It’s a way of connecting that feels personal, timeless, and real.”
Through her postcards, Rana brings this same spirit of generosity and curiosity to our community. Each card she writes carries a piece of her world – whether it’s a glimpse into family life in Saudi Arabia.
She is thrilled to be part of the Around the World in 80 Cards community and can’t wait to share her stories, inspirations, and adventures with you. “I’m excited to connect with people who love travel, culture, and handwritten joy as much as I do,” she says. “There’s beauty in the little things, and I’m grateful to share that with others.”
